Extraordinary Curved Sofa by Martin Stoll – Germany, 1960’s #S1694
Extraordinary curved sofa by Martin Stoll – Germany, circa 1960.
This is a very rare sofa and a real showpiece!!
The sides feature beautiful Brazilian Rosewood (Rio Palissander) bent plywood in the manor of Charles and Ray Eames’ lounge chair.
The sofa has been stripped to the bear wood and completely reupholstered in a beautiful heavy and high quality black aniline leather. All the foam and seat and back support webbing has also been replaced. The seems are made in ‘English double stitching’.
The three chromed legs and angled seat give a floating effect.
