SOLD | Very Rare FRISTHO Wall Unit in Brazilian Rosewood #C1749

Extremely rare and highly sophisticated wall-unit by FRISTHO from Franeker in Friesland, The Netherlands.

This must be one of the most beautiful wall-units ever designed and produced.

The unit is made of Brazilian Rosewood (Rio Palissander) in a combination of solid and veneer Rosewood and an absolutely wonderful woven Seagrass back. The black metal pillars have brass feet which are adjustable in height to level the unit.

The unit does not have to be attached to the wall, it leans into it because of the angled bottom part of the legs. The cabinets and shelves can be arranged to your own liking.

In the middle of the 20th century FRISTHO hired great designers like Kho Liang Ie, Wim Crouwel, Rudolf Glatzel, William Watting and Inger Klingenberg. This design is from one of the above designers with a probability for William Watting or Rudolg Glatzel due to the use of seagrass and round gripps. However at the same time it also has the minimalistic lines of Kho Liang Ie.
